Paytm Payments Bank has announced the appointment of Manish Kumar as its new Chief Human Resources Officer. With a career spanning 24 years, Kumar brings a wealth of expertise in strategic HR, business partnering, and operational roles across diverse sectors, including retail, manufacturing, pharma, banking, and NBFC.
Before joining Paytm Payments Bank, Kumar served as the Chief People Officer at UBI Services. His previous experience includes senior roles at notable organizations like Poonawalla Fincorp, Ziqitza Healthcare, RBS, Dhanlaxmi Bank, IDFC Bank, Alkem Laboratories, and Reliance Capital. He began his career at Reliance Capital as Vice President of Human Resources, later holding key positions in ICICI Bank, Kodak India, and Mannesmann Demag.
Kumar’s professional journey reflects his expertise in various HR facets, including Strategic HR, Business Partnering, Centers of Excellence (COEs), Industrial Relations, and HR Operations. He is also known for his commitment to areas like Diversity & Inclusion, Governance, and Risk. Additionally, Kumar holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Personnel Management (HRD) from the Xavier Institute of Social Service.
Apart from his corporate roles, Kumar serves as a Director on the board of a social enterprise and is a Board Observer in a healthcare company, highlighting his broader interests in social responsibility and healthcare.
