Solidus Techno Power Pvt. Ltd., a leader in solar EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) solutions, is excited to announce the appointment of Jaspal Singh as Chief Technology Officer (CTO). Singh brings over 20 years of experience in solar energy, project management, and renewable technologies. His extensive background, including leadership roles in NTPC’s international business division, positions him as a key driver of Solidus’s technological innovation and growth in the renewable energy sector. This appointment reinforces Solidus’s dedication to expanding its capabilities in clean energy solutions.
Jaspal Singh’s career is marked by his leadership in major solar projects at NTPC, where he was instrumental in managing and executing significant projects. These include overseeing a 56 MW/80 MWp solar plant in Surat and spearheading India’s first floating solar PV projects. Additionally, he conducted feasibility studies, due diligence, and engineering for international solar PV projects, demonstrating his expertise across diverse and challenging environments. His skills encompass ground-mounted and rooftop solar PV systems, hybrid solutions, and cutting-edge energy storage technologies.
Singh holds an MBA in Operations from S.P. Jain Institute of Management and Research, Mumbai, and a B.Tech in Electronics & Instrumentation from Thapar Institute of Engineering & Technology, Patiala. His achievements extend to developing robotic dry-cleaning systems for solar panels, contributing to India’s first solar-wind hybrid solutions, and publishing impactful research on energy storage and microgrids.
Under his guidance, Solidus aims to achieve significant growth, with 350 MWp projects currently underway. The company also plans to expand into high-potential solar markets across India, including Gujarat, Rajasthan, Maharashtra, Haryana, and Punjab. Jaspal Singh’s appointment aligns with Solidus’s commitment to advancing sustainable energy solutions and contributing to India’s renewable energy goals.
