Wipro Limited, a leading technology services and consulting company, announced on November 25, 2024, the appointment of Omkar Nisal as the Chief Executive Officer of the Europe Strategic Market Unit (SMU), effective immediately. Omkar will report directly to CEO and Managing Director Srini Pallia and will also join the Wipro Executive Board. He succeeds Pierre Bruno, who is stepping down, and will remain based in London.
Omkar has been with Wipro since 2012, where he has established himself as a trusted advisor to clients and led high-performing teams across various business sectors. Among his notable achievements, Omkar successfully managed Wipro’s Banking-EMEA division, collaborating with major financial institutions across the UK, Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. His leadership in these regions emphasized digital transformation, customer journey redesign, enterprise engineering, and AI-led automation.
Most recently, Omkar served as the Senior Vice President and Managing Director of the UK and Ireland, overseeing a regional P&L exceeding a billion dollars.
