India’s home-grown streaming platform, ZEE5, has elevated Manish Kalra to Chief Business Officer – Global, entrusting him with the expansion of ZEE5’s business operations across international markets.
In his newly expanded role, Kalra will focus on strengthening ZEE5’s global presence, boosting user engagement, and forging strategic partnerships. His efforts align with ZEE5’s vision to establish itself as a leading player in the global digital content landscape.
Since joining ZEE5 in 2020, Kalra has leveraged his over 20 years of experience in online business and marketing to drive growth and innovation. Previously, he held senior roles at Amazon, MakeMyTrip, HomeShop18, Dell, and Craftsvilla, where he developed a solid foundation in strategic business expansion and user-centric growth. His objectives at ZEE5 include broadening its reach through data-driven insights, enhancing the user experience, and optimizing platform performance across both subscription and ad-supported video-on-demand segments.
Armed with a master’s degree in business administration from XLRI, Jamshedpur, and a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Punjab Engineering College, Kalra brings a wealth of expertise to his role. His leadership is set to accelerate ZEE5’s global growth, meeting the demand for high-quality, culturally relevant content among diverse audiences worldwide.
