Thermax Limited has announced the appointment of Dr. Santanu Chaudhuri as its new Chief Technology Officer (CTO), effective October 21, 2024. Dr. Chaudhuri joins the company with over 27 years of extensive global experience, contributing to both academia and national research laboratories.
Prior to joining Thermax, Dr. Chaudhuri served as a Professor of Materials Engineering at the University of Illinois, Chicago. His career also includes key roles at prominent institutions such as Argonne National Laboratory, University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, Washington State University, Brookhaven National Laboratory, and Alumnus Software Limited.
Dr. Chaudhuri holds a Bachelor’s degree with honours in Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry from SAJ College, Calcutta. He further enhanced his academic credentials with an Advanced Diploma in Software Engineering Technology from PACE University (New York) and APTEC, along with a Post Graduate Diploma in Business Management from the Post Graduate Institute of Management. Additionally, he earned his PhD in Materials and Computational Chemistry from the State University of New York at Stony Brook, where his research laid a solid foundation for his expertise in advanced materials engineering and computational chemistry.
Dr. Chaudhuri’s extensive background and his commitment to innovative research are expected to bring a fresh perspective to Thermax’s technological initiatives, driving growth and advancing the company’s position as a leader in the field.
