Wowza, a global leader in live and on-demand video streaming software, has announced the appointment of Krish Kumar as its Chief Executive Officer, effective December 2, 2024. Kumar will succeed Co-Founder and CEO Dave Stubenvoll, who has led the company since its inception in 2007. Stubenvoll will remain actively involved as a Board member and investor.

Krish Kumar joins Wowza with a rich leadership background in technology and innovation. Previously, he served as the CEO of BrightEdge, where he spearheaded growth and expanded AI-driven digital automation solutions. Kumar also spent nearly a decade at Google, holding senior roles such as Global Head of Enterprise Search and contributing to groundbreaking projects at X, Google’s moonshot factory.
