Zelestra, a renewable energy company, has announced the appointment of Prashant Kumar as the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) for its India business unit, effective immediately. In his new role, Kumar will report directly to Sajay K V, Chief Executive Officer.
With over two decades of experience across financial operations, fund management, capital raising, and project financing, Kumar brings deep expertise to Zelestra’s leadership team. He holds a postgraduate degree in management from the Xavier Institute of Management, Bhubaneswar.
Kumar has previously held senior financial roles at Fortum India, Tata Power Solar, Lanco Solar, and IndusInd Bank, where he was instrumental in leading high-impact financial strategies and operational transformations.
At Zelestra, Kumar will be responsible for overseeing the India unit’s finance function, with a strong focus on strengthening financial governance, driving strategic planning, and optimizing capital efficiency to support the company’s growth and expansion plans in the renewable energy sector.
