Biotechnology firm Amgen has announced the appointment of Naveen Gullapalli as the managing director for its India operations. Gullapalli will lead the Amgen India Technology and Innovation site in Hyderabad, leveraging his extensive experience in global operations and functions spanning pharmaceutical, finance, and technology industries.
The Hyderabad site, announced in August 2024, plays a pivotal role in Amgen’s global strategy to accelerate digital transformation and innovation. This center focuses on developing advanced technology solutions and scaling digital capabilities to support critical areas such as artificial intelligence, data science, and life sciences.
Naveen Gullapalli brings a wealth of expertise to Amgen, having previously led Novartis’ global center in Hyderabad and their network of six centers worldwide. At Novartis, he was instrumental in driving strategic growth and innovation, as well as developing specialized skills to enable business transformation. His vision aligns closely with Amgen’s objectives for the Hyderabad site, which aims to enhance efficiencies across the enterprise and support Amgen’s mission of serving more patients worldwide.
Under Gullapalli’s leadership, the Hyderabad site is set to become a global hub for technology and innovation, contributing significantly to Amgen’s efforts in leveraging digital advancements to transform healthcare and improve patient outcomes.
